Dr. Anna Coffin
Veterinarian & Owner
Dr. Anna Coffin is owner and veterinarian of Guthrie Pet Hospital. She was born and raised in Guthrie, Oklahoma on an agriculture farm North of Guthrie, where her family of 6 children raised peaches, cherries, apples, strawberries, and asparagus. Her parents raised her with great Christian values and an excellent work ethic.
Growing up as a child she had one outside dog that wandered up to the house. Her family was swimming in the creek and he stole their shoes, so they named him Thief. He became part of their family and lived a good long life. When she was in Jr. High, another stray came along that she became attached to. He was missing for a few days and she found him on the side of the road dead. He had been hit by a car and left there to die without any help. That was the moment she decided that she was going to become a veterinarian. She graduated from Oklahoma State University School of Veterinary Medicine in 1994.
Upon graduation, she married a veterinary classmate and moved to New Hampshire for three years. She became homesick and in 1997 decided to move back home and purchased Guthrie Pet Hospital. She enjoys practicing medicine and helping over 1500 pets and their parents. In 2009, she went to Baltimore for extensive dental training and really enjoys the art of dentistry.
Dr. Anna also owns One Stop Copy Shop providing locals customers with copying needs and also has a bed and breakfast called Jaded Getaway. She enjoys spending time with family and friends, reading and volunteering for Friends of Guthrie Animals and Relay for Life.
Meg was born and raised in Oklahoma. She comes from a very large family, who also resides in Oklahoma. She hopes to attend Oklahoma State University to study veterinary medicine. Meg finds the challenge of diagnosing medical cases very appealing. She volunteered at Guthrie Pet Hospital for a year before becoming a full-time veterinary assistant. She assists in the exam room, monitors anesthesia during surgery and performs other duties that the doctor requests. Meg uses her experience with Guthrie Pet Hospital to prepare herself for a career as a veterinarian. She is currently attending the University of Central Oklahoma in preparation for applying to veterinary school. She spends a lot of her free time studying. When she isn't studying, Meg enjoys spending time with her husband, Trey, and their two dogs, Copper and Zoey.
Danni has lived in Guthrie her entire life and has worked at Guthrie Pet Hospital for three years. She started working here her senior year of high school as a kennel technician, taking care of the animals who were staying for the weekend. A full-time job came available and she was very excited to take the job. She has always had pets growing up as a young girl. She is now 21 years old and is attending college to become a veterinary technician. Danni works as the receptionist and also helps the doctor with surgeries. She has four dogs of her own, Yogi, Kane, Boo Boo, and Scooby. She is very passionate about what she does and hopes to have a long career at Guthrie Pet Hospital.
ABCDT – Dog Groomer and Trainer
Throughout a childhood of frequent moves and uprooting of friendships as the daughter of a pastor, Stefani developed a very strong bond with her pets. She knew from her first 4H obedience training class at the age of nine that she wanted to pursue a deeper connection and communication with dogs. While acquiring her bachelor’s degree in General Studies from the University of Central Oklahoma, she also worked a part-time job as a bather at grooming salon. That job led to the opportunity to apprentice as a groomer.
After earning her B.S. in General Studies and completing the two-year-long apprenticeship process, Stef became a full-time groomer. She began working at Guthrie Pet Hospital shortly afterward. After almost a decade of working solely in the field of grooming, with the support and encouragement of Dr. Anna Coffin, Stef continued her education and deepened her connection with dogs once again by earning her dog training accreditation through Animal Behavior College. Now, she continues to groom dogs, as well as teaching private lessons in obedience and behavioral problem solving. She teaches using only positive reinforcement training methods.
Stef is also a professional musician and actor, as well as a published poet. She enjoys spending her free time with her wife, Melissa, and their six dogs, one cat, and flock of nine quail.
Stacey Frazier is a receptionist at Guthrie Pet Hospital. As a long-time client of Dr. Coffin, she brings a lifetime of experience with cat care, a compassionate nature for dealing with both pets and owners, and a dedication to professional service to her work at the clinic. Born at Tinker AFB, Stacey has family ties to Guthrie. Stacey has degrees from UCO in Education, English and Psychology. She is a published author and is the owner/guide for Guthrie Ghost Walk and Guthrie Walks Plus Historic Tours. Stacey shares her home with her cat Tank and his many, many minions.
Brooke Black got the opportunity to start volunteering when she was in 7th grade a few days a week after school. She realized shortly after, that she loved working with animals and that it is something she wants to pursue for the rest of her life. Her parents, Cydnee and Randy Black, have pushed her to fulfill her dreams of becoming a veterinarian one day. She is now a senior at Guthrie High School. That is one step closer to her dream as she plans to attend OSU after graduation. Her personal interests and achievements include spending time at the lake, having family times, being the president of FCCLA at Guthrie High School, and she is proud to be a member of National Honor Society. Brooke has been with Guthrie Pet Hospital for 6 years as a receptionist and veterinary assistant. This has given her the foundation to be successful in the future.
